I’ve saved this Stranger clipping since about 1997 (wow.)

The cop pulls the kid off of his bike for not stopping, the kid breaks his arm in the fall and is unconscious, every body forms a circle around the cop and starts going apeshit. Cop calls for back-up on his radio with the intense-Vietnam-movie-voice. The girl in the middle of the photo named Cecily from ABC (anyone remember her?) actually ends up punching him and goes to jail, along with several other messengers. We had all peeled off when more cops started showing up, and eventually I heard the police helicopter from the patio at Linda’s.
