DIY Studded Motorcycle Tires for the Winter Warrior

I mentioned in a previous post that my co-worker Lee rides in all types of weather, and this week’s snow and ice are no exception. Lee bought a set of self-tapping tire studs from Aerostich that he screwed into the tread of his tires, and he’s been riding in the snow for two days. Yesterday he was riding in Everett over a patch of ice and lost traction with his back tire, went sliding through an intersection, but “the front tire just kept on tracking!” and he didn’t crash. Again, amazing.

I hadn’t seen those up close yet. Would have been nice to have those on my car today. I like those guys over at Aerostitch. They’re alright.
